On August 19, 2009 I launched this blog with images of the wedding day of Josh and Laura. Nearly two years and 70 blog posts later, I am thrilled to be able to post images from the wedding day of Laura’s sister, Jessica. Jessica and Dan Meier were married on July 17th, 2011, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, in Springfield, VA. The ceremony looked so familiar beyond the fact that it was in the same sanctuary. You see, Josh and Laura were married by two pastors that day…the father of the bride and the father of the groom. Following in that tradition, Jessica and Dan said their vows before two pastors…the father of the bride (of course) and the father of the groom (Dan’s father is a pastor, too). Even though Jessica’s dad, The Reverend Dr. John Denninger, Senior Pastor at prince of Peace, made it very clear during the ceremony that it was NOT a requirement in the Denninger family that each daughter marry the son a pastor, rumor has it that Sara, the youngest, is seriously considering a a destination wedding, when that time arrives…more on that later.
This was a wonderful wedding for us and a joy to be a part of, from the ceremony to the end of the night. The reception, at Harbour View, was directed, flawlessly, by the talented entertainer and DJ, Norman Voss. You’ll see him singing and dancing with the guests in this post! A big ‘Thank You’ to Andrea, at Harbour View, for working so hard to make sure this day was a success, for all of us. Susan Wenger’s simple and elegant floral arrangements and table settings were the perfect touch. Thank you Susan, for giving us great arrangements to photograph! Of course, my thanks to my team of Jim and Shannon for their great work on the day
