Congratulations to Mark and Susan,who were married on October 15, 2011 at The Oatlands! Nestled in the rolling hills of the Virginia countryside, an hour west of Washington, DC, this is one of the most picturesque wedding venues in the Washington, DC area…or anywhere, for that matter. The weather was simply brilliant on Mark and Susan’s wedding day, with clear skies, low humidity and temperatures in the mid 70′s. The fall is my favorite time of year in DC and this day reminded my why. The colors in this wedding were the most captivating that I have seen this year…brilliant fall colors woven through the flowers, the bridesmaid’s dresses and the details. And Susan, the bride, was stunning. Mark is one lucky guy! The crew at the Oatlands, Katherine Abbey and Charles, once again made this wedding a pleasure to be a part of. The guests were well taken care with great food, good wine and great service provided by RSVP. Did I mention the flowers?
